Question Stacie (23 Jan 2008 22:17) I have a 16 yr old stepson. He's currently diagnosed as ADHD, but we've sent written request for the school to do further test including Aspergers. Out of the 50 questions concerning Aspergers, he was included in 31. What sypmtoms does your daughter exhibit. My stepson doesn't like to bathe, is failing school, doesn't go out, doesn't have his driver's license, his room his disgustingly dirty, poor sleep habits, eats all day but not a lot at one time. Just wondering if these were some of the same symptoms your daughter exhibits. Please advise.

Aspergers daughter John (5 Mar 2006 9:25) Hi Wendy,
My youngest daughter is 11 and the diagnosis is High Functioning Autism. Mind you, i think that HFA and AS are the same anyway. It would be good to compare notes.
Regards,
john

Asperger's Daughter Joyce G (26 Oct 2006 14:47) My son is 26 now. He has Aspergers also. I know of several girls who have Aspergers through Tony's therapist. I do understand that it is far more common for boys to have Asperger's than girls. Tony is doing well right now. Getting through the school years are the hardest. The kids at school love to taunt and tease, which makes the frustration level of our AS kids rise. Hang in there! MJ

ASPERGER DAUGHTER JANINE (9 Feb 2007 8:25) hi, I just found this bulletin board - my daughter is going through the diagnosis stage, but may have aspergers/with adhd. She is 9 years old, not in school currently as it was badly failing her. I am keen to speak to anyone in a similar situation - not easy and finding support locally is proving hard too. Thanks.
